The club’s 2024 marquee signing played in his first postseason match of his career.
Marking an eleven year wait since he debuted at the Wests Tigers in 2013.
Pearce made the point that even though Luke Brooks features in a spine with the game’s best in Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans, the 29-year-old would have benefitted any club he had chosen to go too.
The Sea Eagles now move into the second week of the finals to play against an injury stricken Sydney Roosters, reeling after their thumping 30-10 loss to Penrith Panthers in the qualifying final.
And Pearce believes Brooks has the x-factor for the Sea Eagles to not just get through this week, but challenge for the premiership entirely.
