“Probably Not A Bad Thing Having A Rest” Wendell Sailor On Ashley Klein’s Demotion

Veteran rugby league referee Ashley Klein has been dropped from Round 8 duties this coming weekend and Wendell Sailor gave his thoughts on the experienced official being dropped.

Klein has been in the headlines over the last few seasons as referees usually are.

Though, after Sydney Roosters loss to Melbourne Storm that was full of many contentious decisions, the NRL have decided to stand Klein down for the upcoming round.

Speaking on The Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell, Sailor explained that sometimes it’s ok to take one step backwards to go forwards.

“I believe in what the NRL are doing here,” said Dell.

“But Ashley Klein, probably not a bad thing having a rest mate.”
