Todd Carney on Footy Talk’s Half-Time defended Nicho Hynes’ performance for NSW Blues in State of Origin 1 but admitted he may have played himself out of the jersey for Game 2.
LISTEN HERE:
“Origin’s not about playing on the front foot, it’s got very limited opportunities.” said Carney.
“I think he got found out in those areas.
“It doesn’t mean that he’s a poor player, it just means that it didn’t come up for him.
“And I don’t think for Nicho that he’ll get an opportunity to change that.”
Carney added that because Parramatta Eels star Mitchell Moses is fit, he’s the favourite to partner Jarome Luai in the halves.
