The Roosters may have burnt their bridges with Angus Crichton and Sitili Tupouniua in their desperate bid to lure David Fifita away from the Gold Coast Titans.
Michael Chammas feels it may be a tough task for the tri-colours to convince the two backrowers to stay.
“The damage is done with those guys, they sat down with Sitili Tupouniua’s manager at the start of the week and said you’re free to explore your options elsewhere – come back to us and let us know how you go.” said Chammas
“Angus Crichton they let it go over a course of a period of time where they thought they weren’t going to sign him, he’s now the former backrower of the competition.”
“He had the craps about the club going after David Fifita.”
“So what damage does it do to the existing guys now? Because you can’t reverse that and you don’t have the benefit of saying ‘That’s ok, We’ve got David Fifita coming next year anyway.'”
