Former NSW Blues Star and Triple M NRL caller Ryan Girdler has recounted his the hilarious circumstances of his chaotic trip to Sydney to call Wednesday’s State of Origin clash.
Girds said he ‘took [his] hands off the wheel’ in his lightning trip to Sydney, catching the train from the airport into the city, only to realise that he’d forgotten his luggage!
“I was about ten stops in on the train, and I realised that I didn’t have my luggage!” he said.
“I jumped on the train… then jumped back on another train to go to the subway where I thought I’d left my bag, and it wasn’t there!
“I actually thought I was going to get off to the bomb squad, because you know what national security’s like these days when there’s a bag that’s been left on a station!”
