The 2023 State of Origin series will go down in the history books as another series win for Queensland, but the Maroons have been robbed of a truly magical moment.
After winning game one of the series in Adelaide 26-18, the Maroons wrapped up the series with an emphatic 32-6 win at Suncorp Stadium last month, but instead of celebrating the series win in front of 52,000 screaming Queenslander’s, Daly Cherry-Evans last night accepted the shield in front of a handful of Blues fan in Sydney.

“It just felt a little bit empty to hold in front of not a home crowd, after a game that you’ve just lost,” Margaux Parker said on Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan.
“It would have been so much better to be able to do that at Suncorp Stadium.” she said.
