state of origin win magic maroons blues

The 2023 State of Origin series will go down in the history books as another series win for Queensland, but the Maroons have been robbed of a truly magical moment.

After winning game one of the series in Adelaide 26-18, the Maroons wrapped up the series with an emphatic 32-6 win at Suncorp Stadium last month, but instead of celebrating the series win in front of 52,000 screaming Queenslander’s, Daly Cherry-Evans last night accepted the shield in front of a handful of Blues fan in Sydney.

“It just felt a little bit empty to hold in front of not a home crowd, after a game that you’ve just lost,” Margaux Parker said on Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan.

“It would have been so much better to be able to do that at Suncorp Stadium.” she said.
