The Triple M NRL call team for State of Origin Game III has uncovered some amusing detail about the seating arrangements for the family of the Queensland Origin camp as the final Origin clash of 2023 takes place in Sydney.
Despite that the families of the Origin players and coaching staff are traditionally seated behind their respective teams’ benches, our man on the ground Ben Dobbin says that it’s ‘not to be’ for Game III.

“NSW have got Billy Slater’s whole family right bang-smack… in the middle of all the NSW families,” Dobbin said.
“I’m looking at Nicole Slater at the moment, and she’s dead-set sitting behind the NSW bench, all surrounded by NSW fans and obviously family members.”
Dan Ginnane revealed that his theory as to why the seating drama may have occurred, citing some of the conditions that NSW families and board members were presented with earlier in the series.
“This really is pettiness personified,” he said.
“Aren’t the Blues pissed off because they were put in a box on the 10 metre line at Suncorp?
“This is clearly a returning of serve!”
