The Melbourne Storm’s 2023 NRL season came to an end on Friday night, conceding the biggest Preliminary Final defeat of the NRL era as the Penrith Panthers stormed into the Grand Final with a 38-4 win.

Riccio shared a damning statistic on the Storm’s season, highlighting an area in which the Storm haven’t typically struggled.

“They conceded 500 points [in a season], for the first time since 2005,” he said.

“They know there are some issues.

“That’s not the Melbourne Storm we’ve come to know.”
