“It Just Becomes A Dropout-Athon!” Wade Graham Calls For Golden Point Change

After two games went into golden-point during round 6 of the NRL season, former premiership winning Cronulla Shark Wade Graham offered a new way to revitalise extra-time on Footy Talk Players Only.

LISTEN HERE FOR FOOTY TALK PLAYERS ONLY:

The current golden-point period in rugby league is an extra period of two five-minute halves where the team that score point/s first wins.

Though, Wade Graham believes the format can be improved upon with a greater emphasis on attacking efforts.

“It just becomes a dropout-athon,” stated Wado.

“It’s almost like a shootout.

“Sometimes [the result] is determined by the toss of the coin [from the referee].”
