Sam Walker is reportedly ready to hit the open market come November 1 in a shocking move from the young Sydney Roosters halfback.
LISTEN HERE:
Already a star, tipped to be one of the leading players in the new generation, Walker was reportedly offered a $1.8m two-year extension by the Chooks, though it seems like he’s ready to test his worth.
And with veteran Adam Reynolds nearing the end of his career, Walker could be in prime position to take over the Brisbane Broncos in 2026, a homecoming for the 22 year-old.
Aaron Woods on The Rush Hour raised an alarming point, “Roosters players don’t do that!”
“He’s seen the dollars being thrown around and Adam Reynolds is coming to the end of his career, there’s a big spot in the number seven jersey!”
Though, Walker could well and truly stay with the tri-colours, but it will be a stressful period for the Chooks who have earmarked Williams as a vital piece for their future.
It won’t just be the Broncos be interested, as many NRL clubs will be ready to pounce as well!
