Greg Martin Urges Walsh to Shift Focus to the Field

Greg Martin Challenges Reece Walsh to Lead Broncos with Premiership, Not Pranks

The spotlight is once again on Broncos star Reece Walsh, and this time, it’s not for a highlight-reel play.

After a video of Walsh drinking water from his newly installed toilet went viral on social media, former Wallabies fullback and Triple M Breakfast host Greg Martin has weighed in, offering the young player some pointed advice: focus on winning.

Martin, a decorated former player for the Reds and Wallabies, didn’t mince words. He suggested that Walsh needs to hire a social media manager and shift his focus to on-field performance as the ultimate antidote to off-field scrutiny.

“There’s a saying that winners are grinners,” Martin said, drawing a parallel to a Broncos great known for both his talent and his antics.

“Allan Langer of course had some poor behaviour during his career, but we all laughed, and why? Because Allan Langer was a winner!”

The former fullback’s message to Walsh was clear: a winning record changes everything.

“Reece Walsh has won exactly zero at this stage,” Martin stated.

Martin believes that a Broncos premiership is the one sure way for Walsh to stay out of the headlines for the wrong reasons, arguing that a winning culture can overshadow past mistakes and public missteps.

This isn’t the first time Walsh has faced public scrutiny over his social media presence, but Martin’s advice is a new take on the situation, urging the young player to silence the critics with his performance on the field rather than his posts off it.
