The Gonna Academy programs aim to help end stigmas surrounding mental health, reduce suicide in Australia and deliver comprehensive programs in community-based settings.
With all factors considered, Greg Inglis made the decision to bring in South Sydney Rabbitohs duo Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker, as well as NRLW superstar Kennedy Cherrington.
And when asked about how the Goanna Academy aims to combat these issues as well as the detrimental effects of online abuse, Inglis was proud and confident in his new team.
‘It’s about bringing awareness to it. That’s what these three ambassadors do.
‘To say it’s not ok, not to be online trolls and bullies.’
With an experienced group of mentors, Inglis continued his praise of the trio.
‘What these guys are doing now is calling it out.’
‘I’ve been watching them closely over the last two years and they align with what I’m trying to achieve.’
