Triple M’s and Dragons star Aaron Woods has addressed reports of a heated exchange between St George Illawarra players over the weekend.
LISTEN TO WOODS REVEAL WHAT HAPPENED:
Nine and LiSTNR’s Danny Weidler broke the story on Monday night surrounding a “heated exchange” between two Dragons players.
The incident occurred while the team was in Mudgee completing pre-season, following the club’s 18-point loss to the Rabbitohs.
Woods told LiSTNR’s Footy Talk League Podcast on Tuesday it was only a “couple of boys” getting a “little rowdy”.
“We were allowed to have a couple of beers because we don’t play for three weeks, we’ve got the bye in Round 1,” Woods said.
The Dragons have since released a statement, declaring an investigation is underway.
“The Dragons are aware of a verbal argument that took place between two players at the team hotel on Sunday morning,” it read.
“The club regards this behaviour as unacceptable and will now determine whether any disciplinary action is warranted. The club will make no further comment at this time.”
