Josh Reynolds on Footy Talk Players Only has called for NSW Blues to select Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks lock/hooker Cameron McInnes for State of Origin.
LISTEN HERE:
The Sharks star found a new lease of life playing in the 13 jumper after moving to the Shire in 2022.
Though, he still offers the versatility of playing dummy-half, a position he owned for pretty much his entire career.
New NSW Blues coach Michael Maguire has already noticed, after selecting him in his off-season extended squad.
“He’s just tough as nails and that’s exactly what Origin is,” said Reynolds.
“It’s not necessarily about these big shifting plays.
“It’s just about being tough and being there for your mates.
“He’d relish in a Blues jersey.”
Wade Graham had this to say about his former Sharks teammate.
“The versatility is always a help at that level.
“Because it’s all hands on deck at times with the injuries and the carnage that happens on that field.”
