ARLC Chair Peter V’Landys has sent red and black bleeding hearts beating by hinting at a possible return for a once popular NRL club. 

Speaking with the Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield, V’Landys revealed that the door remains ajar for a North Sydney Bears return in the NRL in the future. 

A foundation club in the New South Wales Rugby League, the Bears were forced to merge with Manly for the 2000 NRL season before the Northern Eagles were disbanded for good in 2002.
