Aaron Woods has defended Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall on The Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell.
LISTEN HERE:
The embattled Tigers are on an eight-game losing run, sitting second-last on the ladder.
As they’re in the midst of their bye week, Marshall has decided to make the most of his spare time by going on a family holiday in Fiji.
Though, the former premiership winning hero for the merger club has come under fire for not working on his team whose wheels have fallen off this season.
Yet, Woodsy defended Marshall, stating that times have changed.
“It’s an easy one to knock at the moment,” started Woodsy.
“I spoke to him, he booked it ages ago.
“A lot of people are asking, well they’ve come off eight losses, what are the coaches doing?
“Benji’s doing his own thing.
“He’s a new age coach.
“He’s not like the old school, working 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“He want to prioritise family.
“Good luck to him.”
