“It’s A Penalty At Best!” | Aaron Woods Questions The Recent Crackdown On High Tackles

Manly forward Aaron Woods was confused by the recent hardline stance taken by the NRL on high tackles.

With two controversial send offs already in round 23, there’s been plenty of debate on whether the NRL has gone overboard.

LISTEN HERE:

“I don’t think it was a send off, it was a penalty at best….I don’t understand why we’re doing it now” said Woods on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum.

“It’s 5 weeks to go until semi finals, [but] are they gonna do it in semi finals now?”

Sydney Rooster Nathan Brown and Gold Coast Titan Moe Fotuaika were both sent off for careless high tackles.

Both players are facing a week on the sidelines with an early guilty plea, or two if they unsuccessfully fight the charges.
