Veteran Warriors playmaker Shaun Johnson admits he was left scratching his head following some controversial decisions during the Warriors’ 18-6 loss to Penrith, including the bizarre call to send Dallin Watene-Zelezniak off for HIA late in the match.
LISTEN HERE:
Johnson spoke to Triple M after his side’s Magic Round loss and conceded it was “pretty disappointing” to see Watene-Zelezniak marched off for an HIA late in the second half before being cleared to return shortly after.
“I don’t get how someone can go for HIA when they’ve cleared contact to the head. It doesn’t make sense to me,” Johnson told Triple M after the match.
“That’s what we’re arguing. Give us the penalty, he goes for HIA. You don’t give it. He stays on the field.”
