Leading NRL journalist Brent Read has revealed the Bulldogs are “keeping a close eye” on Payne Haas’ contract negotiations at the Broncos, with Tevita Pangai Junior making it known he wants to reunite with his former teammate at Canterbury.

Haas, 23, has one year left on his deal at the Broncos, and according to Read, a move down south could be an option for the superstar prop who’s also expected to draw interest from Rugby Australia.
“There’s a lot of conjecture about what Payne Haas is going to do in the future,” Read told Triple M’s Rush Hour.
