Leading NRL journalist Brent Read has revealed David Fifita will need to make a hefty contract sacrifice at the Broncos, with the Titans star forward leaning towards a Red Hill reunion.

Fifita, who’s now in the final year of a four-year contract worth a reported $1.2 million per season, has found his name in the headlines in recent weeks, with his future at the Titans beyond this season still unclear.
Rumours of a change of scenery come after Fifita endured a lacklustre 2022 campaign, which at times saw the 23-year-old demoted to the interchange, and at one stage forced into the centres.
But for the Broncos and Fifita to come to terms on a deal, Read revealed Fifita will be forced to make a major sacrifice.
“This week is going to be really significant on the David Fifita front, in terms of what Brisbane put on the table and how serious they are and how serious Dave is,” he said on Triple Saturday Scrum.
