The NRL’s crackdown on hip drops this season has divided fans and players.
Several controversial moments marred Brisbane’s 26-16 win over the Eels on Friday night, with Broncos pair Payne Haas and Ezra Mam, along with Eels utility J’maine Hopgood, all hit with charges for hip-drop tackles on the night.
“Are we all in agreeance that this is a by-product of all the jiu-jitsu training that’s been implemented into rugby league on a military level scale for the last 10-15 years?” he said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
