NRL CEO Andrew Abdo says the league won’t stop “monitoring” its approach to stopping players from laying down and milking penalties on the field amid a growing concern among pundits and media around the league.

Abdo was speaking on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin when he was quizzed by NRL great James Graham on how the game can stop players from playing for penalties following a wave of negative criticism impacting the game.
The NRL boss said he is confident the right “disincentives” are in place to stop it from happening but said the league will continue to monitor its approach.
“We’re monitoring that,” he said on Triple M’ Sunday Sin Bin.
