Leading NRL journalist Brent Read says he wouldn’t be surprised if under-fire Roosters playmaker Sam Walker finds himself in new colours next season following reports the young gun has been shopped around to rival clubs.

Walker, who’s been dropped to reserve grade over the past two rounds, is yet to earn a recall into Trent Robinon’s side.
Making matters more complicated, a bombshell report on Wednesday linked the 20-year-old playmaker with a potential move to Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins as Walker’s future at the Roosters becomes more uncertain by the week.
“I’d be surprised if Sam is there next year if he can’t see a path to first grade,” he said on Triple M’s Rush Hour
