Mick Molloy, Nick Riewoldt Urge Change To Australia’s Sports Broadcast Rights

Triple M’s Mick In The Morning team discussed the current state of sports broadcasting, and the restrictions that apply to streaming live sport.

“The idea that the ordinary punter cannot watch AFL on Saturday is a disgrace,” Mick Molloy said.

“I blame the governing bodies of the sports who sell these games.”

Titus O’Reily added how Seven network placed a bid to show the WTC but were denied.

“The federal government last year changed the anti-siphoning laws, to basically bring all the streaming services under them. Which created a loophole for the digital rights.”
