Melbourne star Max Gawn believes the league is adopting the best possible practice to help players recover from concussion.
In conversation with Triple M Breakfast’s Rosie, Wil and Daisy, Gawn says the Demons ensure concussed players are in capable hands.
“Our protocols are very strict .. there’s no phone, TV, reading a book in those first few days,” Gawn said.
“I’m happy with the protocols around it.”

It follows the show’s discussion with Professor Alan Pearce, a leader in CTE research, who says the 12-day rest period for concussion simply isn’t long enough.
