Kate McCarthy Explains The Forced Changes That Turned Brisbane Into Flag Favourites

Triple M Footy’s Kate McCarthy explained the changes that were forced on the Brisbane Lions which turned them into flag favourites.

KATE McCARTHY ON THE BRISBANE CHANGES THAT MADE THEM FLAG FAVOURITES:

Speaking on Triple M Breakfast with Rosie, Wil and Daisy this morning, Kate mentioned a couple of new additions to Brisbane’s forward line that have brought “something really electric, something really exciting” inside 50.

She also flagged a veteran being moved behind the footy to cover the output of Keidean Coleman — previously thought to be close to irreplaceable.

“When that happened (Coleman’s ACL injury), you didn’t think would be able to play the role that Kiddy Coleman played…”

Kate also said that Will Ashcroft’s return from his own ACL injury has come at the perfect time for him to build into a big finals campaign.

“He’s had four or five games now,” she said.

“So he’s really starting to get that game intensity back in his legs, so he’s primed for a big September.”

Kate also spoke about being left on read by Daisy Thomas, the Victorian team most likely to win the flag, what’s going on with the Swans and more.
