Joining the team on The Friday Huddle to celebrate 60 years of Jason Dunstall, Hawthorn legend John Kennedy Jnr gave his former teammate a grilling live on-air.
Asked about his early impressions of the great man, Kennedy did not hold back in the slightest.
“Most players that came down in those times were pretty athletic, they had pretty good football ability,” Kennedy said.
“We didn’t see much in the first few months from the bloke from Queensland… it took a bit of time for us to come around.
“There was none of that [presence]. There was a big, overweight, out of shape individual, who we were scratching our heads as to why on earth anyone would want to contract this bloke, and if he’s getting paid then I want more!”

Dunstall wasted no time hitting back at his old teammate though, who was making the most of his time on air.
“John, you seem to be enjoying yourself,” Dunstall said.
“I notice you’re not letting facts interfere with a good story!”
