Rugby league great James Graham says he still can’t wrap his head around Dragons coach Anthony Griffin’s decision to axe centre Zac Lomax and the reasoning behind the decision.
Lomax on Saturday spent a second consecutive week away from the first-grade side, after coach Griffin made the decision to send the 23-year-old to reserve grade.
The Dragons fell short at the hands of the Cowboys 42-22 in North Queensland on Saturday.
The reasoning behind Lomax’s axing still remains clouded, with Graham questioning whether Lomax even knows the reason himself amid speculation the coach never provided an explanation to his goal-kicking outside back.
“Does he not deserve a warning and does he not deserve an explanation?” Graham said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
