“I Laugh At It, I Don’t Care, 8 In A Row Baby!” Greg Inglis Brushes Off Gus Worland’s Origin Sledges

Rugby league legend Greg Inglis joined The Rush Hour for their latest edition of Hero, Highlight & Hardship.

LISTEN HERE:

Inglis, a Queensland Maroons legend, a key member of the side that won eight State of Origin series’ in a row was infamously born in Bowraville, NSW.

It’s a gripe that fans south of the border might not ever let go, especially Rush Hour host Gus Worland.

“You cheated the rules!” screamed Worland.

“You got one of the best players of all time, it [shouldn’t] have been his decision.

“He should’ve been told, you’re a Blue! That’s it!”

All Inglis could do was laugh, but he welcomed the banter, though he had all his rebuttals ready.

“I laugh at it,” said GI.

“Oh mate, I don’t care, I was born in Mid-North Coast, NSW, right in the middle.

“I’m not one to shy away from it but NSW fans forget that [Peter Sterling] was born in Toowoomba.”

Though Inglis couldn’t help himself as he left one final dagger.

“Eight in a row baby!”
