The Newcastle Knights have been in red hot form in recent times, surging into finals contention off the back of some incredible footy.
Knights legend Danny Buderus joined Triple M’s Sunday Sin to talk about how Newcastle have turned their season around leading into the pointy end of the season.
“We’ve had a lot of cohesion in the team, the spine has been the same.” said Buderus
“I think we’ve got an identity about how we play both sides of the ball…I think we’ve got a really good system the way we defend.”
Buderus in particular praised halfback Jackson Hastings, the playmaker has been in career best form.
“He’s been a link in the middle, he steers them around [and] he’s got a great voice.”
“For Jacko I think he’s loving being at the club.”
The Knights have now won six straight games, lifting themselves into the top eight after a slow start to the season.
