Australian women’s national team captain Alyssa Healy has revealed a nasty illness her husband Mitchell Starc copped in the lead up to the Adelaide Test.
“There were photos of the both of us dead on the couch on Monday as gastro went rife through the house,” Healy said on the latest episode of Willow Talk.
“So Mitch didn’t exactly have the best lead up, he took too many Gastro-Stops and then I’ll leave the story there!”
Healy said that Starc’s gastro dramas continued throughout the Test.
“I will say he wasn’t feeling the best throughout the Test match, so he did bloody well to get through,” she said.
“Hopefully it’s a little smoother for him in Brisbane!”
