Ditts was quick to assure Adelaide would not be stealing the F1 race from Melbourne, despite the secret deals in 1993 that saw Victoria securing the beloved race from SA.
The world’s most prestigious racing event ran in Adelaide for 11 years with 210,000 fans turning up for the final race in 1996.
The race kicks off on Sunday April 2 at 3pm AEST at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit.
