Keaon Koloamatangi could be headed down to the nation’s capital in 2025, with the Raiders reportedly in hot pursuit of the Blues backrower.
Brent Read revealed on Triple M’s Monday Scrum that Canberra are making a big play for the talented young forward in a potential revenge signing after the Redfern based club poached star half Jack Wighton.
“There’s a genuine feel that Canberra’s having a really red hot go at Keaon.” said Read.
“I think Elliot Whitehead’s got one year left on his deal there…they need an edge backrower to replace him down the track.”
“Looks like they’ve identified Keaon as that man.”
Koloamatangi is still contracted to South Sydney for the 2024 season but he free to negotiate with rivals clubs from November 1st.
