The Tigers will reportedly offer the three-time premiership winner a $4.5 million four year deal.
Though to secure the services of the current Penrith Panther, the Tigers will have to find more room in their salary cap.
Reports state that David Klemmer and his $750k contract will now be shopped around to help free up funds for Luai.
“An official offer is expected to be put to him in the next few days,” said Ready.
“Klemmer’s name has been dragged into this.”
Though Ready isn’t so sure Klemmer will leave, but the pursuit of Luai will remain.
“I’m not sure if David will move, he had a pretty good season.
“But the Tigers are chasing Luai regardless.
“From my understanding he wants to make a decision before he goes back to training which is in a few weeks.
“Though will be interesting to see what the Bulldogs do.”
