Abbey Holmes and David Zaharakis teamed up for the Monday episode of Footy Talk – and Zacka had a burning question on his mind.
It was about former teammate Zach Merrett.
Merrett was one of a handful of notables who didn’t make the final 22 of the All-Australian team, announced last Thursday.
So Abbey – a member of the selection panel – took us inside the room.
“There’s literally whiskers between players making the side or not making the side,” she said on Monday.
“Midway through the year I think we were all on the Zach Merrett bandwagon, and he started so strongly…”
