Tom Browne’s Update On The Roles Of Adrian Dodoro And Josh Mahoney At Essendon

Triple M Footy news breaker Tom Browne has given an update on the roles of Adrian Dodoro and Josh Mahoney amidst some change in the footy department at Essendon,

TOM BROWNE ON ADRIAN DODORO AND JOSH MAHONEY AT ESSENDON:

“Essendon has confirmed that both Brad Scott, the coach, and Adrian Dodoro, the list boss, now report directly into new boss (CEO) Craig Vozzo,” Browne said on the Tom Browne’s News podcast.

“It means that the normal football role is partially redundant, as the boss of football, because you’ve got Dodoro — the list boss — and the coach both reporting directly into the CEO.

“It’s an acknowledgement of sorts that the situation between the list boss, which is Adrian [Dodoro], and the head of football, which is Josh Mahoney, isn’t perfect at the moment, and Craig Vozzo, the new CEO, to solve that situation has got Adrian reporting directly into him.”

Browne also revealed that other changes had been made in order to separate Dodoro and Mahoney’s working crossover.

“Adrian Dodoro, my understanding, is no longer on the match committee,” he said.

“But Josh Mahoney, the football boss, is.

“So Adrian was on the match committee, they made a change there.

“So some of Josh’s responsibilities have stepped up, some of Adrian’s have been reduced… Josh [has] a couple of lesser portfolios, which isn’t the normal or standard football boss roles.

Tom Browne also covered the two clubs “heavily interested” in Tom de Koning, all the news ahead of the Carlton v Richmond season opener, team news and more.
