Tom Browne’s Insight Into Why Stephen Silvagni Didn’t Go Into The Carlton Rooms

Triple M Footy’s Tom Browne has given some insight into why Stephen Silvagni didn’t go down to the Carlton rooms to celebrate his son Jack’s 100th game.

TOM BROWNE ON STEPHEN SILVAGNI NOT GOING TO CARLTON’S ROOMS:

“Jack knew that SOS wasn’t going to go to this particular presentation,” Browne said.

“SOS — that’s Stephen — hires a box and their grandma, SOS, and the kids, were in the box watching Jack last night at the MCG.

“SOS does that at his own cost, so he’s watching the game, there’s no issues there, and the simple truth is that Stephen is the list boss at St Kilda, their recruiting boss.

“He’s in charge of poaching players, and that includes Carlton players like (Tom) de Koning, and it would have been a bit awkward for him if he’d gone into that environment in that regard.”

Browne also said that thet there may be some lingering issues between the elder Silvagni and the club at which he played 312 games and won two flags.

“My person view is that Carlton forced SOS out, Cain Liddle did, the CEO at the time,” he said.

“So is there some bad blood there? Look I don’t know if it’s called bad blood, but there’s a lot of feeling there in terms of the way he left there.”
