The SHOCKING Truth Behind The AFL Jersey vs. Guernsey Debate

In this episode of Matt & Alex, All Day Breakfast listener Ed shared his incredible fact about the widely known Jerseys vs. Guernsey debate in the AFL. 

It all stems from soccer shirts in the UK, which were named after the islands they got their sheep wool from.

“Back in the day in the UK when they were making shirts for soccer teams, they used to get the material to make the shirts from sheep that were bred on 2 islands off the coast of the UK. One called Jersey and one called Guernsey so that’s where the conjecture comes in”.
