It was reported yesterday by Nine that the Eagles board were meeting to discuss Simpson’s future. Ryan explained the situation, and who he thinks they will target if they were to part ways with Simpson.

This morning, West Coast released a statement refuting reports of a board meeting discussing Simpson’s future, saying:
“The club remains firm on its position that no decisions have been made around the future of any staff members and that none of those key decisions will be made until after the season.“
