Mitch Cleary Says The Future Of The Centre Bounce Is Up For Discussion

Newly minted Channel 7 Chief Footy Reporter Mitch Cleary says that the future of the centre bounce is uncertain.

MITCH CLEARY ON THE CENTRE BOUNCE:

“I think it will be a talking point over summer whether they keep the bounce,” Mitch said on the Rush Hour.

“A lot of umpires are against it because they feel it puts a lot of pressure on them.”

Cleary said that Ray Chamberlain was a high profile umpire who has had bouncing issues.

“Razor Ray’s had his difficulties with it,” he said.

“It’s a big part of why he has been overlooked for some games previously, with his ability with his shoulder to be able to bounce the ball.”
