Mick Molloy has paid tribute to retiring Richmond legend Dustin Martin on his show Mick & MG In The Morning.
MICK MOLLOY PAYS TRIBUTE TO DUSTIN MARTIN:
“We all knew this day was coming, but it’s very hard to process,” Mick lamented.
“The greatest player I’ve seen at Richmond with my own eyes, the best big game player of all time.
“Three Norm Smiths from three grand finals, and not only those, he also got us into about three of them too.”
MORE ON DUSTIN MARTIN:
Mick said he also respected Dusty’s commitment to partying.
“The guy could do it all,” Mick said.
“He could win a Norm Smith and then leave his car in the MCG carpark for three months, until someone else came and got it.”
MORE ON RICHMOND:
“He did it on his own terms… he wasn’t a marketer’s dream,” Mick said.
“To get him to talk on anything was a real victory.
“But it was one of the great careers, he did all his talking with footy, and as a Richmond supporter I am gutted, but at the same time I’m so happy to have gone through that whole era with that bloke.”
