Abbey Holmes has opened up on Footy Talk of the challenge of cramming the All-Australian squad down to 44 players, saying there are “always some hard luck stories”.
The squad dropped on Monday night ahead of the team’s selection on Thursday, and as with every year there were a couple of snubs raised.
Rowan Marshall, Tom Green and Tom Stewart were among the names raised of those missing.
“It’s always topical, isn’t it, when that All-Australian squad drops!” she laughed.
“Rowan Marshall’s probably the one that we got the most feedback on. Let me tell you, absolutely his name was discussed…”
