Harry McKay has responded to Brendan Fevola’s comments on Footy Talk about pitching to help with his goal kicking two years ago.
HARRY MCKAY RESPONDS:
Fevola told Footy Talk last week he pitched to then-coach David Teague to have a kick with Harry McKay in 2021 and help work on a few things.
McKay was pragmatic when he was asked about it on Ben & Harry on Wednesday, while saying he did appreciate the offer.
“I think people might not understand that coaches are employed full-time to work with players and that’s their job,” he said.
“So I think keeping…certain things in-house and backing in people you trust to work with a skill is really important.
“Sometimes there’s definitely opportunities to go off-site to work on something, and I’m all about that, and I do that in different ideas.”
