Damian Barrett outlined the likely introduction of a finals wildcard weekend on Triple M Footy’s Midweek Rub.
Damo stated that he isn’t a fan of the concept, but explained how the AFL will introduce a 10 team finals system next season.

“The 2025 season will have a wildcard round,” Barrett said.
“It will come in next year. How it looks, where it’s going to be played is also yet to be determined. But it’s in.”
