It’s been almost a year since Abbie Chatfield was crowned Queen of the Jungle in Australia’s seventh season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Abbie won over audiences with her authenticity and sense of humour, but it was a particular interaction with AFL star Robert “Dipper” DiPierdomenico which had viewers sending their praises.

Spotting Abbie in a bikini, Dipper joked “you’re not going out like that.” When Abbie asked him to explain the comment, he added “it’s like you’re seeking attention and asking for it.”

Abbie confronted and questioned Dipper about the comment at the time with hopes people watching at home would be reminded that comments like that and the culture they encourge are not okay.

Now, Abbie has joined the Wild with Sarah Wilson podcast where she reflected on the interaction and explained why she cried so much afterwards.
