In July, 2020, tragedy struck when it was confirmed Australian snowboard champion Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin had passed away after experiencing a shallow water blackout while spear fishing.
Following Chumpy’s passing, his partner Ellidy made the urgent decision, along with his family, to undergo the process of sperm retrieval.
Now, Ellidy is mother to Chumpy’s daughter, Minnie Alex Pullin, who is due to celebrate her first birthday this month!
It was “the best possible outcome from the most tragic situation,” Ellidy shared in the latest episode of Turia Pitt is Hard Work.
Speaking on the podcast, Ellidy opened up about grieving and also explained how the sperm retrieval process worked.
