It’s been a horror start for the Rabbitohs in season 2024, with the ‘pride of the league’ slumping to an 0-3 record after an embarrassing defeat to bitter rivals the Sydney Roosters.
Wendell Sailor feels like all of Souths problems start, and end in the middle third of the field.
“At the moment their forwards are getting owned, no one’s fearing their forwards.” said Sailor
“Damian Cook started off the bench last week, their forwards have gotta step up and find that aggression and they’ve got to pull together.”
“They’re the only ones that can get themselves out of this.”
When asked if a move to the centres could be on the cards for Latrell Mitchell, the big Dell suggested that the Bunnies should stay the course and leave their marquee player in his preferred position of Fullback.
“I think he’s their best option at fullback”
“I know you could put Wighton back there or you know, there’s a couple other options there but I just think that he is their gauge.”
