The Knights were dealt a double blow last night when star Fullback Kalyn Ponga limped off the field with a potentially season ending foot injury while his side was routed 36-12.
Brent Read revealed that the Knights are fearful the injury could keep Ponga on the sidelines for the remainder of the 2024 season.
“He’s going to see a specialist this [Monday] afternoon, look there’s genuine fears st the Knights that potentially his season is over.” said Read
“That’s the worst case scenario, that he’s done an injury that ends his year.”
“The early prognosis is up to 2 months, they are worried that his season is done.”
