The Tigers Will Be Very Happy | Micheal Chammas On Bateman’s Tigers Exit

Michael Chammas doesn’t expect to see John Bateman in the NRL ever again.

The Tigers forward will finish the season with the Warrington Wolves in a loan deal but Chammas doesn’t think Bateman will fulfill the remaining two years in his Wests contract.

“I wrote a story in the Herald about Shane Richardson jet setting across to England to shop players.”

“I said one of the players that was expected to be shopped was John Bateman.”

“John Bateman from what I gathered was not impressed, by being named and to the point where he made a bit of a scene up in North Queensland about it.”

“I don’t think we’ll see John Bateman back in the NRL. John will go home, John won’t come back and the Tigers will be very happy.”

The bridge seems to be permanently burnt between Bateman and the Club.
