There are growing whispers that the Sydney Roosters are plotting a marquee move for either 2026 or 2027, as they face up to a major squad overhaul next season with many stars moving on.
And Danny Weidler on Footy Talk League suggested that the Chooks could look at Newcastle Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga.

The Roosters will lose Joey Manu and Joseph Sua’ali’i to rugby union, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to English Super League, Luke Keary will retire whilst Sitili Tupouniua has been told he can leave.
An enormity of salary cap space will be freed up in Bondi and the idea of the club, famous for signing the game’s best, bringing in Kalyn Ponga isn’t far from reality.
